1 . PRESENTATION OF THE COMPANY
Job Booster Social Enterprise (JBSE-Benin) is a limited liability company (SARL), subsidiary of JOB BOOSTER NEDERLAND BV which is an initiative of the Dutch Foundation Woord en Daad based in the Netherlands. As a Christian organisation, Woord en Daad connects people around the world in their efforts to overcome poverty and achieve a dignified existence for every individual. In the beneficiary countries of its Job Booster Programme, Woord en Daad simultaneously manages employment and training projects that improve the enabling environment for decent employment by strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, advocacy and additional projects to include marginalised groups.
In order to sustain the achievements of the various projects financed and to increase the social impact in the countries of intervention, the Foundation, through Job Booster Nederland B.V, is setting up the Job Booster social enterprise. Job Booster Enterprise currently exists in five (5) countries worldwide: India, Philippines, Burkina Faso, Chad and Benin. The installation process is currently underway in Bangladesh.
Job Booster Social Enterprise Benin was set up in Benin on 08 October 2023 to meet the pressing challenges of youth unemployment and the low level of entrepreneurial participation among young people, women and vulnerable groups. It stands out for its approach based on promoting decent employment and entrepreneurship for young people and women in Benin, through the development and promotion of innovative entrepreneurial initiatives.
JBSE Benin is characterised by its noble mission, its clear vision, its SMART (Simple, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound) objectives, its main areas of intervention and, above all, the good values it promotes.
Vision
The vision of JBSE-Benin is to make Benin a prosperous country where every individual has access to dignified employment opportunities, a healthy environment conducive to the development of entrepreneurial initiatives and a fulfilled life.
Mission
The main mission of JBSE-Benin is to stimulate the economic and social development of Benin, through the development of economic and financial expertise, capacity building of workers, advisory support, coaching and training of SMEs, recruitment, promotion of dignified employment, promotion and development of entrepreneurial initiatives in Benin.
Objectives
Job Booster Social Enterprise Benin (JBSE-Benin) aims to boost Benin's socio-economic development by promoting decent employment and entrepreneurship among young people and women, and by providing effective, sustainable solutions to the needs and expectations of all Benin's economic players.
Specifically, it undertakes to :
- To facilitate access to dignified employment and improved well-being for young people, women and individuals from all socio-economic backgrounds in Benin, as well as other marginalised groups;
- Enhance the skills of young people, entrepreneurs and workers to help them adapt to market requirements and boost their competitiveness on the national and international markets;
- Support the development of entrepreneurial initiatives by young people and women, by providing high-quality support, vocational, technical and specific training, as well as networking techniques and opportunities;
- Working with public authorities, technical and financial partners, and public and private sector companies to create an ecosystem conducive to economic growth, the creation of sustainable jobs and wealth, and the development of Benin;
- To encourage and facilitate the implementation and monitoring of projects and programmes by the Beninese diaspora, through a partnership based on cardinal values.
