Job Booster Benin, a member of the AMEA (Agribusiness Market Ecosystem Alliance) network and a member of the Ecosystรจme de Conseil Agricole au Bรฉnin, took part in a technical workshop on Thursday 21 November 2024.
The aim of the workshop is to increase ecosystem stakeholders' knowledge of a number of approaches and tools currently used in Benin, with a view to their appropriation and integration/adaptation in specific initiatives.
Specifically
โœ“ Inform stakeholders about Market Systems Development approaches and tools for measuring the functionality of professional farming organisations
โœ“ To share lessons learned from the EAS Improvement Facility experience and in order to acquire new skills to implement BDS in the agriculture sector.
The aim is to develop a better understanding of these tools and approaches with a view to integrating them into the various interventions.
The workshop showed that the members of the ecosystem are well equipped to support the professionalisation of farmers' organisations (FOs), not only to ensure food security but also to boost the employability of young people and women in Benin.
We have also learned a great deal from capitalising on the PAT MIROIR approach developed by Solidaritรฉs Entreprises Nord-Sud (SENS Benin).
Congratulations to all the participants.
