From 03 to 05 July in Lokossa and from 07 to 09 July 2025 in Kandi, 50 artisans (25 per commune) from different trades received training on the advantages and risks of forming a cooperative society.
The training course ended successfully, marking an important step towards building their capacities and promoting a collective approach to economic development.
This intensive training course, entirely financed by the Fonds de Dรฉveloppement de l'Artisanat (FDA), enabled participants to acquire an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of cooperative societies.
The artisans explored the many benefits of this model, including pooling resources, facilitating access to markets, sharing knowledge and improving their bargaining power.
At the same time, particular emphasis has been placed on identifying and managing the risks inherent in this type of structure, preparing craftspeople to make informed decisions and manage their future collective ventures prudently.
The participants expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the modules delivered and the relevance of the information received, underlining the importance of this initiative for their professional future.
