In Natitingou, a major training initiative kicked off today, 2 September 2025, marking an important step towards women's empowerment and local development.

Five (5) communes, Natitingou, Aplahouรฉ, Lokossa, Gogounou and Boukoumbรฉ, are involved in this training. Over one hundred (100) women will benefit from the training.

The course focuses on modern food processing techniques, with a particular emphasis on fruit juice production. Participants will learn how to add value to local products such as baobab, tamarind and soya, by transforming them into high-quality drinks.

The aim of this training is to strengthen the agricultural value chain in the target municipalities and stimulate the local economy.

Once trained, participants will not only be able to produce a variety of marketable fruit juices, but also contribute to better management of agricultural resources.
