On Wednesday 25 June 2025, Job Booster Benin, represented by its Director, Mr Sylvain If\u00ead\u00e9 DJAGBO<\/strong>took part in a consultation day on the Social Solidarity Economy in Benin (\ud835\udc04\ud835\udc12\ud835\udc12).<\/p>\n

The SSE is a strategic lever for inclusive and sustainable economic development in Benin. In order to strengthen the structuring of this sector and accelerate its dynamics, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Benin - CCI B\u00c9NIN, in partnership with the cooperative society Solidarit\u00e9s Entreprises Nord-Sud (SENS B\u00e9nin), invited local institutions and stakeholders of the SSE ecosystem to a Territorial Consultation Day dedicated to the co-construction of a shared vision of the SSE strategy in Benin.<\/p>\n

The meeting, held in the CCI Benin conference room, addressed the following points:<\/p>\n

\u2713 presentation of the key findings of the diagnostic study carried out on the sector; \u2713 discussion of a structuring roadmap for the development of the SSE; \u2713 exchanges with players in the field for collective ownership of the issues and solutions.<\/p>\n

Here are the main lessons we learned from this wonderful session:<\/p>\n

  1. The need for a stronger legal and institutional framework ;<\/li>\n
  2. Capacity building for stakeholders ;<\/li>\n
  3. Access to specific and adapted financing ;<\/li>\n
  4. Visibility and recognition of the SSE ;<\/li>\n
  5. The importance of consultation and collaboration ;<\/li>\n
  6. Integrating the SSE into local development policies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In summary, the day's discussions laid the foundations for a roadmap for more structured and effective development of the Social Solidarity Economy in Benin, focusing on legislation, capacity building, financing, visibility and collaboration.<\/p>\n
